This copy is written to reflect the frameworks that apply to a Canadian mithai business: PIPEDA (federal private-sector privacy law), CASL (Canada's anti-spam law, governing our waitlist and marketing emails), Quebec's Law 25 if we serve Quebec customers, and AODA / WCAG 2.1 AA for accessibility. It is not a substitute for review by a licensed Canadian lawyer, who should confirm it matches our actual data practices, our home province's consumer protection act, and any provinces we ship to.

Protein Mithai Wale ("we," "us") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, Quebec's Law 25. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.

We only collect personal information for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, and only with your knowledge and consent (express or implied), as required by PIPEDA's Fair Information Principles. We use it to: fulfill and ship orders; respond to support requests; send order updates and, where you've opted in, marketing messages under CASL; and understand aggregate site behaviour so we can improve the experience.
We share information only with service providers who need it to do their job on our behalf — for example, payment processing, email delivery, and shipping carriers once checkout is live. We do not sell your personal information. Any third party we use is contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purpose we've engaged them for.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes it was collected for, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records), after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
Under PIPEDA — and under Quebec's Law 25 if you're a Quebec resident — you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct inaccuracies, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete it, subject to legal or contractual limits. If a breach of your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, we'll notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (and Quebec's CAI, where applicable) as required by law.
By placing an order, you agree to pay the listed price plus applicable taxes (GST/HST/QST as applicable to your province) and shipping. Subscription orders renew automatically at the frequency you selected until paused or cancelled by you.
Mithai is a perishable food product. Delivery windows are estimates, not guarantees. Please follow the storage instructions on arrival.
You may cancel a subscription before the next billing cycle begins. Orders already packed for shipping cannot be cancelled.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable provincial consumer protection legislation that cannot be waived.
Joining the waitlist is free and non-binding — it collects your email, under CASL express consent, so we can notify you at launch. You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. Referral links are for sharing with friends and family; we may adjust or end referral perks at any time.
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which Protein Mithai Wale operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Subscription orders can be paused or cancelled anytime before your next order is processed — no lock-in. Already-packed or shipped orders can't be cancelled.

We want this site usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, consistent with the information and communications standards under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and equivalent accessibility legislation in other provinces we serve, and we're actively working through improvements as the site develops.

Under CASL, we only send marketing emails to people who've given express consent (for example, by joining our waitlist), and every message includes a working unsubscribe link, our identifying information, and a way to contact us — unsubscribe requests are honoured within 10 business days. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
If you're a Quebec resident, Law 25 gives you the additional right to withdraw consent to the processing of your personal information and to request that we stop using automated decision-making about you, where applicable.
